[OOC] - CR Chart
Selphie Tilmitt Final Fantasy VIII ![]() The Trabian exchange student met during the SeeD exam and one of his team mates originally sent to Timber to assist the Forest Owls. Selphie had been in Vatheon for a long time before Squall showed up and was instrumental in helping him getting him settled in. Squall tries to see her whenever he can, though he also tries to give her space: she has a whole new life in Vatheon and he needs to start having his own. Because of their friendship, he always tries to help her out when she's having a tough time. It doesn't always work. She comes from a later canon point than he does and refuses to tell him anything about what happens in the future. Though she did let slip that Laguna Loire is is father. Oops. Selphie left Vatheon for a while, but she has since returned. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Rinoa Heartilly Final Fantasy VIII ![]() The daughter of Fury Caraway and Julia Heartilly, member of the Forest Owls resistance group, and Squall's client. If the contract is still valid in Vatheon, that is. Squall first met Rinoa when he was dispatched to help the Forest Owls with their resistance movement against the Galbadia government and military. At first, it was quite clear to him that she was naive and spoiled, but she has quickly grown since first meeting him. Although she can annoy him like no other and lacks military training, Squall respects and admires her determination and willpower. (Though he will not admit this out loud.) He considers her a friend and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her out. Nagging and all. Since his canon update, Squall is struggling with his feelings for Rinoa and is unsure of how he should interact with her now. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Serph Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner ![]() Squall's "coworker" in the Vatheon Defense Force, Squall and Serph first met when the two of them volunteered to help the overwhelmed Minato Arisato get it into working order. Squall has a lot of respect for Serph - the man is clearly knowledgeable in leading a group and warfare, more so than Squall himself. Serph is...weird, all right, but not unpleasant to be around. Serph seems to know how to talk to Squall without seeming overbearing or overly intrusive. As a result, Squall opens up to Serph a lot despite the relatively short time they've known each other. Serph has since "adopted" Squall into his family, a move that thoroughly touched the stoic mercenary. Thus, Serph has become one of the people Squall cares most about in Vatheon. Squall is now a member of Serph's Embryon Tribe, his Tribe color can be found on the right sleeve of his jacket. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Tidus Final Fantasy X ![]() A blond who comes from a world that seems to share some similarities with his own. He's kind of an idiot but okay at the same time. Reminds Squall of Zell, really. And as such, Squall treats him in a similar was as he does Zell. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Argilla Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner ![]() A member of the Embryon that Squall met during a training session, Squall finds Argilla easy to talk to and he answered all of her questions about himself. She strikes him as extremely gentle, and if Squall had a more civilian upbringing, would find it difficult to believe she was a soldier and a master sniper. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Heat Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner ![]() Squall first talked to Heat when the latter decided he wanted to assume leadership of the Embryon Tribe during a period of time Serph was missing. Being a part of the Embryon himself, Squall actually isn't very involved with Tribe affairs as he is mostly of an "outside member." However, he was concerned with Heat's takeover bid and did his best to try to advise him so at the very least, Heat knew what he was getting into on the off chance that he actually did gain control. Heat reminds Squall of Seifer, but the sole fact that Heat doesn't prattle on about "romantic dreams" automatically makes him better in Squall's eyes. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Mickey Mouse Kingdom Hearts ![]() A mouse king from a distant world, Mickey is one of the people who mistook Squall for some guy named Leon due their uncanny resemblance. Mickey is a lot more devious than he appears and is more than willing to tease Squall. Also, why won't people tell Squall more about this Leon douchebag? ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Kohaku Hearts Tales of Hearts ![]() The nice girl who checked up on Squall after the Kraken incident. He appreciates how worried she was about him despite the fact that she didn't know him at at the time. He can find exactly zero reason to dislike her at all. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Bonus round!
Cielo Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner ![]() The other member of the Embryon Tribe who arrived in Vatheon with Serph and part of Squall's "adopted" family, though they first met in the Vatheon Defense Force. Cielo reminds Squall of a less hyperactive Zell, and sometimes he feels like Cielo's keeper. He is impressed with what Cielo is capable of and sometimes they do things in the bubble together. Squall finds him even nice to be around, as long as he isn't doing something that would be stupid and ill advised. At first, Squall only paid notice to him because Cielo is important to Serph, but he's grown fond of him on his own terms. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Dropped Characters
Train Heartnet Black Cat ![]() This one weird guy Squall met one day. He tried to advise Train on his problem of being bullied by a cat. How did that ever go anyway? Squall called him "the cat guy" in his head. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Sam Manson Danny Phantom ![]() The "prince" Squall met during the Fairy Tale curse and had a fabulous and totally and completely serious adventure rescuing Princess Danny from the pirate ship which, at the time, was infested with really long winded and incompetent pirate ghosts. He thought she was a level headed and competent girl. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Orihara Izaya Durarara!! ![]() One day, Squall talked to Orihara Izaya and offered to help him carry things up to the island. That was a very bad idea. Izaya is weird, nosy, and annoying, but he's also one of the more unique people Squall has ever met. He also has really good taste in jackets. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
Minato Arisato Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 ![]() Squall's other Defense Force "coworker." Squall had seen Minato around the city, but didn't pay much attention to him until he saw the sheer amount of stress the poor guy was under trying to run the Defense Force himself. Reminded of when he was suddenly handed the reins of Balamb Garden and how incredibly miserable it is to be in over your head with something like this, Squall offered his help. He was rather impressed with how Minato was able to hold out as long as he could because it was clear he didn't have any experience running a military outfit and had no formal training at all. Squall didn't completely understand Minato's Persona abilities, but he likens them to the use of Guardian Forces and he's kind of jealous that Minato could use his Personas while Squall's Guardian Forces are inaccessible. Minato was similar to Serph in that he knew how to get Squall to talk, by being nonjudgmental and just easy to talk to in general. In a way, Squall saw Minato like a little brother (Mostly because Minato's short. They were pretty much the same age.) and was somewhat protective of him. Squall misses Minato greatly, but is hesitant to admit it. ⚫⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫ |
